CHAPLAIN TRAINING
May 29-30 & June 3

Our chaplains are the foundation of our prayer ministry and they are the heart of faith, compassion and peace in our community. They are available before and after service to pray with you, and make monthly prayer calls to all our members and to any others who request prayer calls from them.
Chaplains serve by offering prayers in our Sunday service and co-lead special services, such as Unity's World Day of Prayer and holiday services. They extend their love and support in hospital visits and at memorial services.

If you are interested in becoming a chaplain, please connect with Rev. Myra at myra@unitykcnorth.org or 816-436-0200.

2nd Sundays @ noon in the sanctuary.
All are welcome. Love offerings accepted.

What is sound healing?
Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It involves using specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release. Ideally, a hypnotic, meditative or theta brainwave state is created which allows access to deeper levels of inner wisdom and healing.

A sound therapy treatment is performed using music or other sounds that you listen to while lying down or comfortably seated. Focusing on these soothing vibrations helps you relax and release stress, anxiety, and tension. It also encourages deep breathing and, may include meditation prompts and visualization exercises as well.
