GUEST SPEAKER: REV. JIM GAITHER

The people of the world perceive wars, crimes, suffering, and injustice. The people cry out for justice and harmony. They long for fulfillment of the prophecy of Amos: “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.” (5:24) This lesson explores the keys to understanding and experiencing justice and harmony in our lives and in the world.

Rev. James Gaither, Th.D., was ordained a Unity Minister in 1979, has a M.A. in Philosophy and Doctorate in Theology. He currently teaches distance learning courses for Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute, the Unity Urban Ministerial School, Holos Graduate Seminary, and Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Jim is a popular guest speaker and workshop presenter in Unity ministries around the United States and Canada. He has taught in Unity Ministerial and Spiritual Education for over 30 years and has been Minister in Unity churches for over 12 years, including as Eric Butterworth’s successor in New York City. The New York ministry named him “Pastor Emeritus.” Jim also served as President of Holos University Graduate Seminary and the first Director of Academic and Student Affairs for Unity Worldwide Spiritual Institute. He has been a regular contributor to Unity Magazine for over 40 years. He has published two books: The Essential Charles Fillmore and The Hidden Realm of God: the Historical Jesus & His Healing Philosophy. Bridge Campaign (2).png

Bathe in the healing vibrations of sound with Susan Harp.
1st Sundays @ noon in the sanctuary.

All are welcome. Love offerings accepted.

What is sound healing?
Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It involves using specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release. Ideally, a hypnotic, meditative or theta brainwave state is created which allows access to deeper levels of inner wisdom and healing.

A sound therapy treatment is performed using music or other sounds that you listen to while lying down or comfortably seated. Focusing on these soothing vibrations helps you relax and release stress, anxiety, and tension. It also encourages deep breathing and, may include meditation prompts and visualization exercises as well. (yogabasics.com)
