MEET ANGIE

After dabbling in yoga off and on over many years, she began her journey in earnest in November of 2020. Attending Yoga teacher training in ‘21 twice, Angie fell in love with the way Yoga made her feel, how it put her in tune with her breath and present in her body.  Her joy is sharing Yoga with others and helping them feel more connected and present, and peaceful.

Meditation Chapel

What is Meditation?
Meditation has a history that goes back thousands of years, and many meditative techniques began in Eastern traditions. The term “meditation” refers to a variety of practices that focus on mind and body integration and are used to calm the mind and enhance overall well-being. Some types of meditation involve maintaining mental focus on a particular sensation, such as breathing, a sound, a visual image, or a mantra, which is a repeated word or phrase. Other forms of meditation include the practice of mindfulness, which involves maintaining attention or awareness on the present moment without making judgments.

All are welcome to participate in weekly group meditation. No experience needed.
Love offerings accepted.

Sound Healing with Susan Harp

Bathe in the healing vibrations of sound with Susan Harp.
1st Sundays @ noon in the sanctuary.

What is sound healing?
Sound healing is the use of specific instruments, music, tones, and other sonic vibrations to balance and heal the body, mind, and spirit. It involves using specialized sound frequencies to create a therapeutic atmosphere to promote deep rest, nervous system rebalancing, and emotional release. Ideally, a hypnotic, meditative or theta brainwave state is created which allows access to deeper levels of inner wisdom and healing.

A sound therapy treatment is performed using music or other sounds that you listen to while lying down or comfortably seated. Focusing on these soothing vibrations helps you relax and release stress, anxiety, and tension. It also encourages deep breathing and, may include meditation prompts and visualization exercises as well. (yogabasics.com)
